Judging will be based on two rounds equally weighted.
FOR FITNESS - Physique round will be judges the same way as BIKINI.
Two Piece Suit - Fitness and Bikini
Comparisons will be made through a series of quarter turns. All competitors will walk on stage as a group. You will do quarter turns and then will all exit the stage. Then you will come out individually for your model walk. The model walk will be factored into your presentation scores. Competitors will be judged based on proportions, overall condition, grooming, facial beauty, overall beauty and presentation. Physiques which closely resemble figure competitors or bodybuilders will not be rewarded. The ideal physique will be well conditioned and toned but you do not have to be so lean that all of your muscles are visible. You should have no extra fat but should look lean, healthy and fit. If people saw you on the beach, this would be a body that the average person would desire.
What to wear
- Fitness & Bikini competitors are allowed to wear a decorated suit or a regular bikini for this round.
- Absolutely NO THONGS are allowed in either class.
- You should also wear some tan on your skin so you do not get washed out by the stage lighting.
- Oil is also recommended.
For fitness and bikini, the posing is also, more free style. You are allowed to stagger your feet on front and rear stances and also twist from the front. Arms can be down or on your waist. On all side stance, you are allowed to look to the audience. You do not have to do the profile from the side that is required in figure. The model walk is your opportunity to show what you have worked for. You should practice enough that it is very easy for you to do and very natural.
Fitness Routine
You will do the swimsuit portion in the prejudging (2 piece only). We will judge the fitness routines live at night. The fitness will go first at night before there is any oil on the stage. Please let me know if you have any special concerns.
The fitness routine should encompass strength, flexibility and showmanship. Costumes, music and choreography are very important.
Some examples of moves you may want to incorporate into your routine are: One Arm Push up, Straddle L Hold, L Press Hold, Side Split, Full Front Split, and High Kick. We will not eliminate you if you are missing any of the moves but you should be working towards incorporating some of these.
