Model Walk - Fit Body & Figure PDF Print E-mail

Judging will be based on two rounds equally weighted.

Two Piece Suit

Comparisons will be made through a series of quarter turns. All competitors will walk on stage individually and then as a group for comparisons. Competitors will be judged based on proportions, overall condition, grooming and presentation. Physiques which closely resemble bodybuilders will not be rewarded. The ideal physique will be well conditioned and toned.

Fitness Routine

You will do the swimsuit portion in the prejudging (2 piece only). We will judge the fitness routines live at night. The fitness will go first at night before there is any oil on the stage. Please let me know if you have any special concerns.

The fitness routine should encompass strength, flexibility and showmanship. Costumes, music and choreography are very important.

Some examples of moves you may want to incorporate into your routine are: One Arm Push up, Straddle L Hold, L Press Hold, Side Split, Full Front Split, and High Kick. We will not eliminate you if you are missing any of the moves but you should be working towards incorporating some of these.

Fitness / Figure / Bikini

Figure will be offered in three classes:

Professional Figure for those athletes qualified through an INBF event in 2002
Open Figure - Pro Qualifier - Top winner in each open class qualify to compete in Pro division
Master's Figure - Women over 40 years young! Winners qualify to compete in Master's Pro shows only.

Figure will consist of a two piece swimsuit round only. Judging will be based on a series of quarter turns, model walk (see below) and comparisons. Condition is important but a physique that resembles a bodybuilder will not be rewarded. Abs should be visible and there should not be extra loose fat on the buttocks. Striations and visible cuts in the quads and hamstrings will not be rewarded. Your appearance should be a healthy one. Facial beauty, hair, skin, makeup and suits will all be factors in placement. If you have specific questions, please forward them to me.
